Hari-Query: A Query Letter Smackdown

    Yes, revisions, beta readers, more revisions, more readers (and not family and friends who are going to gush and say, "Oh, you're so talented!").

    Definitely heed his words, oh writerly types. :)

  2. Love this! Especially the part about getting over yourself!

    One thing, however, that contradicted what I've learned from agents is that many of them DON'T want the climax revealed (they DO want it revealed in the synopsis, they don't want it revealed in the query), but rather they wanted the query to end on the CHOICE: what rock or hard place did the protag have to choose between?

    I think this comes down to the bottom line: that every agent is different and wants different things. Know who you're querying. Do your research!
